Minor Changes to Previous and Future Posts

-Calculating Carbohydrate, Fat, and Protein Percentages-
As it turns out, my previous knowledge on how to calculate the percentages of carbs, fat, and protein was inaccurate. As a result, all of my percentages prior to Day 4 in reference to the 80/10/10 model ratio were all incorrect. After feeling a bit off and having some seemingly conspicuous numbers for Day 4's "Daily Totals," I did a little research and discovered that my assumption on the subject was flawed, but now have the correct method for how to accurately calculate the values.

Previously I was under the assumption that the gram to calorie ratio for carbohydrates, fat, and protein were all equal. In reality, any gram of fat has a calorie ratio just over twice that of either carbs or protein (carbs and protein are actually measured with the same ratio). Without getting into the specifics, all this means is that my previous percentages for fat were listed lower than they should have been.

The previously inaccurate method has had no serious effects on the trial so far, so I am grateful to have discovered the issue early and correct it. From Day 4 onwards, the correct method will be used to calculate percentages.

After Day 4 is posted later today, I will take the time to return to Days 1-3 and correct them as necessary.

-Additional Changes-
As previously stated in an earlier post, coming into this trial, I was not overly concerned with the numbers and knew that any calculations I did attempt to keep track of would not be 100% accurate due to my limited resources. Specifically, although many of the free online resources for nutritional facts of fruits and vegetables are, to some degree, a very good reference, at the same time they cannot be guaranteed as 100% accurate. They are usually just an average based on size, volume, or weight. We all know there is no law saying that one banana has the a specific or the exact nutritional value as any other banana. As such, the numbers referenced are by no means meant to be exacts, and will only be used as a general guide.

For the sake of being realistic, the former, "Daily Totals" will now be referred to as "Approximate Daily Totals."

Other small adjustments will be made which will hopefully provide for a more easy to read and visually pleasing blog overall.
