I defintely feel the best I've felt since a few days ago when I felt like my body had been thrown out of balance. I'm waking up earlier now, and feeling great all around. Down with the liter of water and onto a nice sized breakfast.

Veggie Wrap 204 cal
1 md. Banana 105 cal

This snack consisted of a nice collard wrap I made and packed before coming to work. Inside of one giant leaf of collard greens, I mashed up some avocado and placed 3 sliced baby carrots, 1/2 stalk of chopped celery, and a 1/2 of a cucumber cut into long slices. I wasn't fully satisfied afterwards, so I had a banana and a few grapes.

-Banana Apple Smoothie-
5 md. Banana 525 cal
2 md. Apple 190 cal
3 Cups Baby Spinach 15 cal
2 Cups Ice
Total 730 cal
I'm glad I took the time to make this smoothie before work this morning, as it was perfectly delicious. I kept it in the blender again and just left it in my car until lunch came around when I finished this giant 1.5 liters of green goodness in about 45 minutes. Again, I was in a hurry this morning when making this one, so didn't grab a photo.

-Snack-
1/4 Avocado (sliced) 80 cal
1/2 Choco Fruit & Nut Bar 138 cal

-Banana and Spinach "Milk"shake w/banana slices and cacao nibs-
4 md. Banana (frozen) 420 cal
2 md. Banana (sliced) 210 cal
2 Cups Baby Spinach 10 cal
3/4 Cup Water
3 Tbsp. Cacao Nibs 98 cal
Total 738 cal
If you haven't read the earlier post in the trial in which I make a "milk"shake, I will briefly explain how it's done. Basically, you just blend some frozen bananas up until a creamy, fluffy consistency is reached. Then add the water and whatever other fruit or veggies you want to include. Add water only as needed in order to get the correct consistency. With the liquid on the rinsed spinach, I only needed to add a little less than a cup of water here. I also sliced up some extra bananas and mixed them into the milkshake with a few tablespoons of cacao nibs. Yummy!
-Exercise-
Unfortunately, even though I ate a bunch today, I was extremely exhausted and decided to just rest up tonight and get back at things tomorrow. I haven't been so active lately, so 3 days of hard work really tired me out, but it has already got me feeling a lot better physically.

As you can see, the numbers today are up a bit from the norm. I really felt like I needed all of this food today as fuel to help me get through the day. I know a lot of raw foodists lecture noobies about under eating sometimes. I feel like I normally eat just about what my body needs, and today was no different. I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been getting up and started much earlier than I was at the beginning of the trial. Because I'm waking up earlier, I'm enjoying more of the day (and the sun) and I've found my sleeping to start to resemble consistency. I'm setting the alarm so I get about 8 hours of sleep a night and I feel great! Only time will tell.
Also, I'm not going to be so picky about these percentages any longer. I will tally them up for reference, but after some more research tonight, I've found that the percentages are only used as a rough estimate based on total calories. In actuality, there is a specific formula that most doctors used to calculate your daily needs based on weight. Using this formula, I'm still under my needs a bit, but I really don't have a problem with it, as the "suggested" protein totals for the day have been known to be exaggerated in order to make sure that most people get at least as much as they need, which is in fact, a bit less than what the formula suggests. I know that sounds really confusing, and, quite honestly it is. If you're interested like I was, take the time to do the research.
I'm glad to be all caught up with the posts that I was behind. Taking the time to finish them has really allowed me to regain some focus that I was beginning to lose. My mind is sharper than ever, and just because I haven't had time to keep up with things would be a horrible excuse to slip up or fall behind now. From now on, I'm going to make it a priority to get some stretching and strengthening exercises in my daily routine in addition to any exercise I get while working, maybe looking to do so in the mornings before work so I'm not too exhausted in the evenings after work. This should help me get up and get started with more energy also!
In addition to really starting to focus more and dial in, I've been researching some recipes online, and I desperately need some variety in my food. I might splurge on the next grocery trip, maybe buying some blueberries at the outrageous ~$12.00/lb. Every time I go shopping I try to pick up something new, and even most recently I grabbed some carrots and celery, which I will definitely be stocking up on again soon.
Over I feel great and am dedicated to finishing this 30 day trial strong. I feel back on track and nothing can stop me from accomplishing my goal.
And that concludes Day 13!
